Matt Dillon and Linda Cardellini also sign up.
Tom Hardy’s upcoming Al Capone biopic Fonzo has added a whole load of new names, with Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan leading the pack.
The movie, which will be directed by Fantastic Four’s Josh Trank, will focus on the notorious crime boss and his later years in prison where dementia plagues his mind.
MacLachlan has been cast as Capone’s doctor Karlock, according to The Hollywood Reporter, alongside Matt Dillon (Crash) as his closest friend Johnny.
Also joining the cast are Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks) as the mobster’s long-suffering wife Mae, and Kathrine Narducci (Power), who plays sister Rosie.
This isn’t Hardy’s first brush with playing gangsters though, having previously taken on the role of the Kray twins in 2015’s Legend.
Meanwhile, the actor’s deleted scene from Star Wars: The Last Jedi was unveiled this week. Hardy played a Stormtrooper that gets a bit handsy with Finn (John Bodega).
The clip also sees him sport a bizarre accent as he intimidates Finn into believing that he has been caught out while under cover.
As for MacLachlan – he recently starred in the revival series of Twin Peaks, returning as Agent Dale Cooper, though whether there will be any more remains as unanswered as the series’ ending.
Fonzo, which is due to begin principal photography next month in New Orleans, doesn’t currently have a release date.
